Donegal finger-picking guitarist and singer Muireann Bradley, who rose to fame following her show-stopping appearance on Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve 2023, delights in interpreting and performing the music of the early blues masters, always putting her own unique stamp on the tunes.

The Ballybofey native, who primarily performs country, ragtime and Piedmont-style blues from the 1920s and 1930s, released her debut album I Kept These Old Blues to wide acclaim in December 2023.

Muireann delights in interpreting and performing the music of these early blues masters, always putting her own unique stamp on the tunes.

Her influences include Rev Gary Davis, Blind Blake, Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Robert Johnson, Elizabeth Cotten, and Memphis Minnie to name just a few.

The 17-year-old grew up surrounded by guitars and old blues and began playing at the age of nine when she convinced her father to buy Muireann her first guitar and teach her.

Muireann first came to international attention when a performance of Blind Blake’s Police Dog Blues she posted on YouTube went viral and caught the eye of Josh Rosenthal (Tompkins Square Records, San Francisco) who suggested she record an album.

The songs and instrumentals, which would make up her debut album, were all recorded live in the studio in one or two takes to make the process as similar as possible to that of the original classic country blues artists.

Support acts at all three dates will be Eoghan Rainey & Naomi Campbell.

Eoghan Rainey is a classical and fingerstyle guitarist from Donegal. While studying music in Queen’s University Belfast, he was heavily influenced by the works of classical guitarists, such as Gary Ryan and fingerstyle artists Calum Graham and Ben Lapps. Some of these influences can be heard in his own compositions, on his EP “Affinity” released in 2021.

Performing in a range of genres from Folk-Rock to Blues, Naomi Campbell can be seen primarily in the three-part harmony Americana band Motel Sundown. Over the past year Naomi has been honing her own sound with acoustic shows across the UK including support slots for Chris Helme of The Seahorses, Texas based Songwriter John Calvin Abney & more recently Americana duo Campbell/Jensen, formed by Country legend Glen Campbell’s daughter Ashley Campbell & Thor Jensen. In September 2023 Naomi performed her original music at showcases across Nashville and made a headline appearance at South Main Sounds in Memphis. Whilst in Memphis, Naomi recorded her original song Don’t You Mind at the world renowned Sun Studio. The single will be released in Spring 2024 on 7″ vinyl. Naomi has now just released the debut single Tuesday’s News, inspired by the west coast sounds of Laurel Canyon’s finest.
