Mohammad Syfkhan & Gazelleband

This very well-received double headline concert in the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny during Earagail Arts Festival 2024 had people up dancing by the end of the night.

Mohammad Syfkhan is an Irish based Kurdish/Syrian singer and Bouzouki player. Mohammad’s own brand of ecstatic music takes elements from Middle Eastern and North African music to create an atmosphere of joy, love and happiness.

Gazelleband present the music of Palestine and a wider region through the medium of traditional string instruments, the oud and buzuq. Led by Gazan oud player Reem Anbar and Irish-Mancunian music researcher Louis Brehony, the group perform internationally at concerts halls, festivals, universities and solidarity gatherings.
