Winner at the RTÉ Radio Folk Awards 2024 in the Best Folk Singer category, Eoghan Ó Ceannabháin is a Dublin-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with his musical roots in sean-nós singing. He has recorded and performed with various bands including Skipper’s Alley, Aon Teanga:Un Chengey and Jiggy and collaborates with Clare fiddler and viola player Ultan O’Brien.
A renowned artist with a proven record of performance, recording and innovation, Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh is a multi-award winning traditional singer and musician from Corca Dhuibhne, West Kerry. Muireann is a leading exponent of the sean nós style, and loves to engage with audiences to share her love of the Irish song tradition.
For this concert in the Regional Cultural Centre, Letterkenny she was joined by son of the celebrated fiddler Gerry O’Connor and revered singer Eithne Ní Uallacháin of Lá Lugh, multi-instrumentalist Dónal O’Connor and self taught master of the six and twelve string, slide guitar and ukulele and other stringed instruments, Gerry O’Beirne.
