The Lighthouse Project

Go on a journey and find a new perspective on familiar paths guided by writer Annemarie Ní Churreáin and filmmaker and soundscape artist Laura Sheeran. Curated by Dani Gill, The Lighthouse Project takes people on a self-guided journey, linking place with writing in an intimate and innovative way.

Inspired by Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse and the theme of personal journey, you are invited to explore this geographical area and the insight it offers.

A copy of the guide in PDF format is available to download HERE. Limited printed copies will be available from the visitor centre at the lighthouse from 20th July.

The Lighthouse Project is part of the wider EU project ’Spot-Lit’, featuring innovative offerings in literature from Scotland, Finland, Northern Ireland and Iceland. The programme will take place in six counties around Ireland in 2021.

The Lighthouse Project is supported by The Western Development Commission, the EU Northern Periphery and Artic Programme, and The Arts Council of Ireland.

Earagail Arts Festival is the Commissioning Partner of the Fanad Head site.
