Tatau - Tattoo: Self-Expression & Identity: Celebrating the Cultural Significance of Tattoos

To celebrate the diversity of our community and highlight the importance of self-expression through body art, we are seeking people with tattoos from different cultural backgrounds to participate in a photo exhibition for the next edition of Earagail Arts Festival.

The exhibition will showcase a selected number of tattoos that have significant meaning to an individuals’ ethnicity and cultural backgrounds.

A professional photographer will photograph your tattoos and the images will be exhibited at various venues during the festival. This is a great opportunity to share your story and be part of a thought-provoking project.

If you’re interested in applying, please email us a photo of your tattoo along with a brief description of what it means to you and your identity to clodaghmcivor02@gmail.com by 1st June 2023.

Curated by EAF New Curator Clodagh McIvor.
