MODERN BARDS PRESENT
Cosán Ghleann Bheatha - Poetry & Music Walk in Glenveagh National Park
Come and join us on a specially curated walk in Glenveagh with writers Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde, Rody Gorman and Dairena Ní Chinnéide and musician Síle Denvir where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy songs and poetry from Scotland and Ireland, culminating in a performance in the Orangery at the Castle.
The approximately 1.5 hour walk will feature Irish and Scottish Gaelic writers Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde and Rody Gorman and Dairena Ní Chinnéide and musician Síle Denvir. The project will feature new collaborative work by Dairena and Síle, created during their residency at the park, which has been made possible by the support of the National Parks & Wildlife Service, Glenveagh; the Glebe Gallery and the Regional Cultural Centre.
The walk starts at St. Colmcilles Birthplace Cross, Gartan, F92 A6N7 and culminates at Glenveagh Castle. Following the concert at the Castle a free bus will take you back to the car park in Gartan. (Walk duration approx. 1.5hrs on some uneven ground, please address appropriately for the terrain and weather).
