Cosán Cholm Cille – Art and Poetry Walk

Come on a short walk with Scottish and Irish writers and artists to the top of Cnoc na Naomh. Along the way, you can see their work and listen to their poems and stories. The work has been inspired by the folklore and mythology around Saint Colm Cille. It’s a great chance to engage with art and poetry in a relaxed outdoor setting with majestic views of the Donegal landscape, from the Derryveagh mountains around to Tory Island.

Artwork from the artists Seán Ó Flaithearta, Kim Sharkey, Derek Robertson and Norman Shaw.

Newly composed writing by Meg Bateman, Rody Gorman, Dairena Ní Chinnéide and Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhríde.

A commemorative booklet with the words and images will be given to everyone who takes part.

The walk will start at the carpark near the top of Cnoc na Naomh, beside the grotto. Here are the coordinates of the carpark to put in your phone: 55.138163, -8.193866

Alternatively, please meet at the carpark of Teach Dixon and we will direct you to the site. The event will last about an hour.

Please wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the Irish summer.

Filíocht faoin aer, a production of Baird Nua-Aoiseacha
