मैहर के गढ़ / Citadels of The Sun / Dúnfoirt na Gréine – Episode 1

Over three years in the making,  Citadels of The Sun is a musical collaboration connecting Irish and Indian culture, featuring Sarah E Cullen (Donegal fiddle, vocals), Martin Coyle (bouzouki), Paul Cutliffe (uilleann pipes, whistles) with Asin Khan (sarangi and vocals) and Sawai Khan Manganiyar (multi-percussion and vocals).

For this the opening event of Earagail Arts Festival’s Srutháin online festival we present the first episode of a mini documentary on the Irish and Indian performances of this ever evolving international music project from the hills of Donegal and our own citadel of Grianán Ailigh to the deserts of Rajasthan and the Mehrangarh fort of Jodhpur.
