Do you defy a stereotype? Are you like an open book and do you have valuable experiences that readers could benefit from learning about? Are you motivated to help challenge stigma and stereotypes through dialogue and personal conversations? Then maybe we can ‘publish’ you as a ‘book’ to our ‘readers’ in our remounting of The Human Library® during Earagail Arts Festival in July 2023.

We are producing this popular experience with Donegal County Library in Letterkenny, as Béarla, and one as Gaeilge with Leabharlann Ghaoth Dobhair for our 2023 festival.

We can promise that being a book in The Human Library® is more than you expect and something you will never forget. It is also an opportunity to meet a lot of people that are different from you and yet you will find you share a lot in common.

An duine tusa a théann in éadan steiréitíopa? An dála leabhar oscailte tú agus an bhfuil taithí luachmhar agat a rachadh sé chun sochair do léitheoirí foghlaim fúithi? An bhfuil tú spreagtha chun cuidiú le hiarrachtaí dúshlán na stiogmaí agus na steiréitíopaí a thabhairt trí phlé agus comhráite pearsanta? Mar sin, b’fhéidir gur féidir linn tú ‘a fhoilsiú’ mar ‘leabhar’ dár ‘léitheoirí’ d’athbheochan The Human Library® le linn Fhéile Ealaíne an Earagail i mí Iúil 2023.

Tá an taithí mhór-ráchairte seo á léiriú againn i mBéarla le Leabharlann Chontae Dhún na nGall agus i nGaeilge le Leabharlann Ghaoth Dobhair. Geallann muid go bhfuil níos mó i gceist le bheith i do leabhar sa Human Library® ná mar a bheifeá ag dréim leis agus nach ndéanfaidh tú dearmad air go deo. Is deis é fosta bualadh le go leor daoine atá éagsúil leat ach a mbeidh go leor i bpáirt agat leo mar sin féin.
